Dalia Blauensteiner (Lithuania, Austria)


Dalia Blauensteiner was born 1962 in Lithuania, and studied art at the National University Art Department. After her studies, she worked as an Artist in the Culture Centrum, where she organized and participated in international youth projects, and managed the regional Folk Art Union. Since 2003, Dalia has lived in Krems, Austria, where she has taken part in numerous creative activities including organizing exhibitions and installations, decorating stage sets for theatre events, and designing publications and catalogues.

Dalia has exhibited her paintings in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Denmark, and Austria. In 2009, she participated in the Florence Biennale, and later exhibited her work in Aquasparta and Baveno, Italy in 2010. Other international exhibitions that year include Kolin in the Czech Republic, in Miami during Art Basel, and in the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art in Las Vegas. In 2011, Dalia exhibited with the International Biennale Artists in Montreal, Canada.

Dalia typically paints with oil on canvas, creating abstract compositions, still life, and landscapes; and her paintings are in private collections and official institutions in Lithuania, Poland, Czech, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and the USA.
